How it works

• Send us your masters in the post. Alternatively, click here so you can register to upload to our server.
• We will master your tracks and send you a link to 320kbps/44.1 Hz mp3s. 
• If any tweaks are necessary then these will be carried out and new mp3s will be uploaded. 
• Upon your approval payment needs to be made.
• Finally a Red Book CD master (or DDP image) will then be posted with listening copy. Alternatively, 16bit / 44.1 Hz WAV files can be downloaded from our server. 

What you need to provide us...

• A track sheet with title, start time, and the length of each track. Click here to download one.
• Your preferences on song sequence, spacing and fades.
• Any additional information as possible eg. DAT frequency, any clicks, pops, hiss etc. to be removed.
• Your contact information - mailing address, email address, phone number, etc.

We urge you to provide as many notes and examples as possible. If you do not provide us with any specific information then your mastering will be left to the engineer's discretion.

Format

Formats accepted are:

• Data CDR or CDRW containing audio data files
• Data DVDR containing audio data files
• Audio CD
• DAT (16-bit - 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz)
• Minidisc
• Cassette.

• Please make sure you label the media itself with your name and contact details.
• If you are sending CDR, make sure you use the best media available.
• If you are using DAT then make sure you use a brand new one.
• Fast forward and rewind the new DAT at least once before using it.
• Leave two minutes digital blank at the beginning of the DAT (90% of errors on DATs appear in the first minute).

Things to remember when mixing

• Do not compress the mix.
• Do not normalize the mix.
• Try not to limit the mix.
• Make sure there is no clipping - have your mix peak at around -2 dB .
• If possible, don't do fade-ins and fade-outs during mixing. This can be done smoothly and easily in the mastering stage.
• Do not apply any other overall processing to the entire mix as this is best left to the mastering stage.

Your master

• Maximum number of tracks is 99 .
• Minimum time limit for a track is 4 seconds.
• Maximum number of index points (subdivisions within a track) is 99 with no minimum time limit.
• Average space between tracks is 2 to 4 seconds.
• Please make sure that you back up your masters before sending to us. We can not be held responsible for the loss of your only copy.
